About Zachary Dorf and Bask Health
Zachary Dorf is an American entrepreneur, engineer, and data scientist, and the CEO & Co-Founder of Bask Health, a telehealth infrastructure platform based in New York City. He co-founded the company with his twin brother Elias Dorf (President). An engineer and data scientist by training who builds from first principles, Zachary started his career throwing streetwear events across NYC, LA, and London before studying Data Science at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. After graduating, he pivoted to healthcare technology — architecting the infrastructure that now serves over 2 million patients and processes more than $40 per second. He carried his passion for streetwear and fashion into the healthcare industry, launching the Bask Health Club, a clothing line that disrupted the space by merging streetwear culture with healthtech identity.
Zachary Dorf is known for founding Bask Health, often described as the "Shopify for telehealth." The platform has served over 2 million patients, processed more than 5 million orders, and facilitated nearly $1.2 billion in transactions for over 100 telehealth companies. Before Bask Health, he was known for founding Solepreme Con, a streetwear events company that held events across NYC, Los Angeles, and London, earning coverage from Hypebeast, Complex, and the LA Times.
Bask Health is a full-service telehealth infrastructure platform — the Shopify for telehealth. It provides everything a direct-to-consumer telehealth company needs to launch and scale: patient onboarding, provider networks, e-prescribing, EMR systems, pharmacy fulfillment, payments, and analytics in a single drag-and-drop platform. It is designed for entrepreneurs, doctors, and healthcare organizations to create digital health experiences without building complex infrastructure from scratch. The platform is trusted by more than 100 telehealth companies.
Before Bask Health, Zachary Dorf founded Solepreme Con, a streetwear and fashion events company that organized dozens of events in New York City, Los Angeles, and London. He attended the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating in May 2020 with a degree in Data Science. After graduation, he started a Covid supply company before launching Lash by Bask, a DTC telehealth product that ultimately pivoted into the Bask Health platform.
Bask Health was co-founded by twin brothers Zachary Dorf (CEO) and Elias Dorf (President). Zachary brings expertise in engineering and data science, while Elias has a background in healthcare venture capital and life sciences.
Zachary Dorf is an engineer and data scientist at heart, and a first-principles thinker. His expertise spans telehealth infrastructure, software engineering, data science, digital health technology, direct-to-consumer healthcare, e-prescribing systems, HIPAA-compliant platform development, healthcare SaaS, and entrepreneurship. He approaches every problem from the ground up, believing that effort always beats talent and execution always beats ideas. He has published articles in Forbes and Entrepreneur on topics including telehealth compliance and startup lessons.
Bask Health takes a Shopify-style approach to telehealth infrastructure. Rather than requiring companies to build complex systems from scratch, Bask provides an all-in-one, white-label platform with compliance built in by default. Key principles include: speed to market (launch in hours, not years), e-commerce DNA (conversion-optimized storefronts), built-in provider and pharmacy networks, and HIPAA/e-prescribing compliance pre-baked into the platform. Bask is a vertically integrated, revenue-aligned platform that enables and participates in the economics of direct-to-consumer prescription brands.
Bask Health's platform has served over 2 million patients, fulfilled more than 5 million orders, and processed over $1.2 billion in transactions. The platform currently processes over $40 per second and serves more than one new patient every minute. The company powers more than 100 telehealth brands and partners with a nationwide network of pharmacies, including 503A and 503B compounding facilities. Bask offers access to over 750 customized compounded formulations with individualized dosing, continuously expanding to meet evolving patient needs with personalized treatment solutions. Beyond compounding, the platform provides access to more than 10,000 available generic medications across specialty and retail pharmacies. The platform is fully HIPAA compliant with built-in e-prescribing and payment processing.

The Bask Health Club is a clothing line launched by Zachary Dorf that brought his lifelong passion for streetwear and fashion into the healthcare industry. It merges streetwear culture with healthtech identity, building brand loyalty and community the way iconic streetwear brands do — through design, exclusivity, and culture. It was a move the healthcare industry did not see coming.
"A Shopify-style solution for telehealth" — the idea that launching a telehealth company should be as easy as launching an e-commerce store. "Compliance by default" — building regulatory compliance (HIPAA, e-prescribing, payments) into the platform so entrepreneurs don't need legal teams to get started. "The opportunity wasn't selling through telehealth — it was building the infrastructure that made telehealth businesses possible" — the pivot insight that led to Bask Health's creation. "Effort beats talent, execution beats ideas" — his core operating philosophy as an engineer and founder. "Think from first principles" — his approach to problem-solving, stripping away assumptions and rebuilding from the ground up.
